How to report

Send your report by email. A person on our team reads every report. There is no form on this page: email lets you attach the original message, which is the most useful evidence.

Abuse reports: legal@callspace.io

We aim to acknowledge reports within two business days. If a report shows a clear breach of our Acceptable Use Policy, we act on it straight away, without waiting for the customer to respond.

Spam received through Callspace

If you received an email you did not ask for, you can always use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and stops all newsletters and campaigns from that sender through Callspace. To report the message as well, include:

  • The original message as an attachment (.eml file), or its full headers. In Gmail, use "Show original"; in Outlook, "View message source".
  • The date you received it and the address it was sent to.
  • Whether you ever had a relationship with the sender, if you know.

For unwanted calls or WhatsApp messages, include the calling number, the number that was called, and the date and time of the call, with the time zone.

Phishing and impersonation

If a message or call sent through Callspace pretends to come from a bank, a public authority, a brand or a person it does not represent, or tries to obtain passwords or payment details, report it as phishing. Include the original message and the links it contains. Do not click the links or open the attachments.

We treat phishing as a priority: we stop the sending immediately while we investigate.

Misuse of your domain

Callspace only sends email from domains whose owner has verified them through DNS records. If you see messages sent through Callspace from your domain and you did not authorise them, tell us the domain and send us an example. We will check which workspace verified the domain and stop the sending.

You can also remove the DKIM and MAIL FROM DNS records that point to Amazon SES: without them, Callspace cannot send from your domain.

Misuse of personal data

Callspace customers are the controllers of the contact data they upload; Callspace processes it on their behalf. To exercise your data protection rights over a list, such as access, erasure or objection, contact the sender first: their details must appear in every message.

If the sender does not respond, or you believe your data was obtained unlawfully (for example from a purchased list), write to us. We will forward your request to the customer, check that it is handled and, where the Acceptable Use Policy has been breached, take action. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or with the data protection authority of your country.

What happens next

  • We identify the workspace and the campaign or call involved.
  • If the evidence shows a clear breach, we pause the sending or suspend the account immediately.
  • Otherwise, we ask the customer for evidence of consent and of the source of the contact list.
  • We suppress your address or number for that customer if you ask us to.
  • We tell you the outcome when we can, within the limits of confidentiality and data protection law.

We do not share your identity with the customer you are reporting unless it is needed to handle your request, for example to delete your data, and we will tell you before doing so.
